The Curiosity Collaborative

Sacramento’s own Mardi Gras Event

From their website:

We are a local, 501(c)3 non-profit supporting diverse community initiatives that encourage curiosity, sustainability, and creative expression.

Volunteer-led

Community-funded

Powered by Creativity

To which SSC says:

The Sacramento Social Club is proud to partner with this fine organization for for promoting art, creativity, and social building. Running a parade and festival 3 years running is no easy feat and these guys make it happen every day!

The first one

It's Mardi Gras, you knew it had to be fun! While plenty of inspiration was drawn off of the Big Easy, the plan was never to be just a carbon copy of parades that came before. Put together by a diverse collection of entertainers, performers, and local talent of all stripes, it was a fun run. The only way to make it better would be to make it bigger!

Round 2

With the second round, the festival and parade grew.  The City of Trees Parade is a dazzling showcase of Sacramento’s rich diversity and culture! Last year’s event included ONE THOUSAND performers from 34 different groups.

What's in store for 2024?
